10% Chlorine bleach solution
Inspect the device and tubing for damage after cleaning. Replace any damaged
parts. Allow the device to dry completely before plugging in the power cord.
9.2
Cleaning and Replacing the Air Inlet Filter
Under normal usage, you should clean the inlet air filter at least once every 1 month
and replace it with a new one every six months.

If the device is operating, stop the airflow. Disconnect the device from
the power source.
§
Remove the filter from the enclosure.
§
Examine the filter for cleanliness and integrity.
§
Wash the filter in warm water with a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly to
remove all detergent residue.
§
Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling it. If the filter is
torn or damaged, replace it. Only ABM-supplied filters should be used
as replacement filters.
§
Reinstall the filter.
9.3
Cleaning the Patient Circuit
WARNING: Do not sterilize the patient circuit. Always use a new bacterial filter
when using the device on a new patient.
9.3.1
Institutional (Hospital) Use
Patient Circuit: Breathing Hose, Patient Interface and Adapters:
If the device is to be used by more than one patient, the circuit must be replaced.
