Figure 2-9 shows the NV7m back panel connectors, these connectors are for connection to outside
devices to the motherboard. We will describe which devices will attach to these connectors below.
(14). PS/2 Keyboard Connector
Attach a PS/2 keyboard connector to this 6-pin Din-connector.
If you use an AT keyboard, you can go to a computer store to
purchase an AT to ATX converter adapter, then you can
connect your AT keyboard to this connector. We suggest you
use a PS/2 keyboard for best compatibility.
(15). PS/2 Mouse Connector
Attach a PS/2 mouse to this 6-pin Din-connector.
(16). Serial Port COM1 Connector
This motherboard provides one COM port, you can connect an external modem, mouse or other devices
that support this communication protocol to these connectors.
You can decide which external devices you want to connect to COM1. The COM port can only have one
device connected at a time.
(17). VGA Port VGA1 Connector
This motherboard had built-in the nVIDIA 256-bit 3D/2D graphic accelerator, so you don’t need to buy
another AGP grapgic accelerator. This DIN 15 pin Female connector is for a VGA output signal to the
monitor or LCD display. You can connect the plug from the monitor to this connector. If you don't move
your system often, we suggest you fasten the two screws from the plug with this connector. It will assure
the quality of your display.
