2.14 Remove SMS, prediction file and contact information from
a backup.
When making a backup, contact information, SMS-messages and the prediction list
are saved in the backup file. If you want to use the backup file for another user, you
do not want private information to be transferred to the next user, eg. contact
information. On such occasions, this information can be erased from the backup.
To erase private information do as follows:
1.
Make a backup to the memory card in Control Omni.
2.
Remove the memory card from Control Omni.
3.
Insert the memory card into the memory card adapter. The
memory card adapter is included with Control Omni.
4.
Connect the memory card adapter to the USB-port on the computer. The
computer will now register the memory card as Removable disk. Note! The
memory card adapter can easily be turned wrongly when inserted into the
USB-port.
5.
Go to the folder “Gewa/Omni/backup/data”. (We recommend you to make a
copy of the folder “Gewa” and save it on the computer for extra security)
6.
In the folder “data” there are the folders, address book, Omni, prediction,
smsmessage and zwmanager. Erase the folders “address book, prediction and
smsmessage”.
7.
Remove the adapter with the memory card from the computer.
8.
Prepare the next Control Omni by making a reset to factory default.
9.
Insert the memory card into Control Omni and make a restore.
