9 Faults and troubleshooting
9.1 General faults
9.2 Error messages at the power source
If the wire feed motor is not working properly, the following messages will be displayed at the power source.

Wire is deformed.
Contact pressure for the wire feed
rollers is too high/low.

the wire diameter.

► Check the connection for the
signal cables and replace if
necessary.
Wire feeder motor is defective.
► Have the wire feeder motor
replaced by a qualified
electrician.
The wire outlet and/or wire feed
rollers/wire pressure rollers are dirty.
► Blow out the wire outlet and wire
feed rollers/wire pressure rollers
with compressed air.
The wire feed rollers/wire pressure
rollers are defective.
► Replace the wire feed rollers/
wire pressure rollers.

► Check the connection for the
signal cables and replace if
necessary.

Motor current monitoring (warning).
The set threshold value of parameter
F10 has been exceeded.
► Check that the wire feed path is
not obstructed and clean or
replace if necessary.
E-830
Motor overcurrent. Threshold
reached.
► Check the wire feed path for
impediments; if necessary remove
the clamping points.
► Check motor control lead for
damage and replace if
necessary.
