7 Operation
CR1000/CR1250
6.3.1 Bleeding the system
Optimum cooling is only guaranteed if the air has been bled from the entire cooling system. Bleed the entire cooling system
as follows when used for the first time and after every cable assembly replacement:
1
Connect the intermediate cable assembly coolant hoses to the cooling unit and make sure that the entire coolant circuit
is closed.
2
Switch on the cooling unit on the front of the device.
3
Disconnect the coolant return hose from the cooling unit and hold it over a collection receptacle.
4
Close the coolant return hose and release it again by repeatedly and abruptly opening it.
5
Reconnect the coolant return hose.
6
Check the coolant fill level.
7 Operation
7.1 Before initially putting into operation and following long periods of non-use
1
Check that coolant pump can move freely.
2
Check the tightness of the coolant connections.
3
In case of leakages, tighten the hose clip at leak points using pliers or retighten screw terminals using a screwdriver.
8 Putting out of operation
1
Disconnect the mains plug on the cooling unit.
NOTICE
• Repeat this procedure until the coolant drains out continuously and without air entrapment.
• Check the minimum fill level on the cooling unit.
• Check the tightness of the connectors and nozzles to prevent coolant leakage!
NOTICE
• The cooling unit may only be operated by qualified personnel (in Germany see TRBS 1203).
• Please also consult the operating instructions for the welding components and welding torch.
NOTICE
• When putting the system out of operation, ensure that the procedures for switching off all the welding system
components are observed.
