Industrial Tracker Reference Guide FW 1.8 V0.2
5.3.3
Low power GPS
With this technology, the device sends the data given by the GPS module before the
agps_timeout
delay expiry and the positon calculaton is done by the ABEEWAY server.
If the GPS component didn’t succeed in having enough data to provide to the server, a LPGPS
tmeout message is sent instead of a LPGPS data message.
Notes
1i In the case there the
agps_timeout
value is greater than the
ul_period,
the actual GPS
tmeout till be
ul_period.
2i The GPS positon obtained in this mode does not pay atenton to the parameters described
in the precedent secton (gps_convergence, gps_ehpe and gps_tmeout).
5.3.4
WIFI
Since a WIFI scan is altays done tithin fve seconds, there is no tmeout parameter.
Once the scan is done, the BSSIDs are sent via LoRa tith the associated RSSI and the positon
calculaton is done by the ABEEWAY server.
In a mult technology geolocaton, a WIFI scan tith the number of BSSIDs greater than or equals to 3
is considered as successful, and a WIFI positon message is reported via LoRa.
Less than 3 BSSIDs triggers a technology stitch (move to GPS or LPGPS).
5.3.5
Mult-technologies
These technologies use tto diferent components in a same geolocaton cycle:
WIFIiGPS: Start tith a WIFI scan, then stitch to the GPS in case of WIFI failure.
WIFIiLPGPS: Start tith a WIFI scan, then stitch on the LPGPS in case of failure.
WIFI- GPS and WIFI-LPGPS
A WIFI scan result is considered as successful if at least three BSSID are present in the scan. In this
case a WIFI positon message is sent via LoRa. Othertise, the tracker tries immediately the next
geolocaton technology (GPS or LPGPS), in the same geolocaton cycle.
