Maintenance tasks

Examining the environment
•
Make sure that the installation environment of the inverter is according to the
requirements.
•
Make sure that the inverters are installed according to ABB recommendations. For
more information, refer to
Mechanical installation on page 29 and the PVS800-57B
central inverters hardware manual (3AXD50000048300 [EN]).
•
Make sure that there is sufficient space around the unit for maintenance tasks.
•
Make sure that the unit is correctly fastened to the installation surface.
•
Make sure that the doors are closed.

Cleaning the cabinet
WARNING! Obey the safety instructions, page 9 . If you ignore the
instructions, physical injury or death, or damage to the equipment can
occur.
WARNING! Use a vacuum cleaner with an antistatic hose and nozzle. Using a
normal vacuum cleaner creates static discharges which can damage circuit
boards.
1. Stop the inverter and do the steps in Performing electrical work on page 12 before you
start the work.
2. Clean the interior of the cabinet with a soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
3. Clean the air inlets of the fans.
4. Examine the air inlet grillse of the cabinet. Replace them when it is necessary.
