Safety information
Keep escape routes clear
Blocked escape routes endanger lives.
Install and configure the locks only by taking the current
plan of the escape routes into consideration.
For the safe operation of the electronic cylindrical locks,
observe the following points:
– Regularly check the status of the batteries.
– Have the batteries changed only by qualified persons.
– Regularly test the function.
– Regularly update the closing conditions.
DANGER
When the batteries fail the doors can no longer be opened.
– Replace rundown batteries immediately.
– Pass the information about the status of the batteries
on immediately.
– Keep replacement batteries and necessary tools in

DANGER
■
There is the risk of explosion if the battery is replaced
by the wrong type.
■
Dispose of used batteries in accordance with the
relevant instructions.
– Throwing a battery into the fire or a hot oven,
squashing or cutting a battery can cause an
explosion.
– Leaving a battery in an environment with extremely
high ambient temperatures can cause an explosion
or the leakage of combustible liquids or gases.
– Subjecting a battery to an extremely low air
pressure can cause an explosion or the leakage of
combustible liquids or gases.
■
If a burglar-resistant door plate [3] is used for the external knob,
the distance between the external knob and the plate must not be
too large. Otherwise a heavy tool could be applied.
■
