ADVAC® 38 kV EL mechanism
The ADVAC 38 kV medium voltage circuit breaker’s
EL mechanism is shown below. This mechanism
uses a compression spring to perform the closing
of the circuit breaker and one opening spring in
conjunction with the compression springs located
in each vacuum interrupter push rod assembly.
The ADVAC 38 kV circuit breakers are rated
up to 38 kV, 40 kA, and require inspection and
maintenance that must be performed after every
2000 operations to ensure the circuit breaker
functions correctly. Contact ABB Service for
