Security Screen
The SBC firmware comes with the ability to set passwords against unauthorized
Power On Self Test (POST) and to protect Setup changes. In addition to that Hard
Disk Drives (HDD) suppor
ting the “Security Mode Feature Set” can be locked.
If the customer at the keyboard does not know the password, then execution halts or
media access is protected.
Select the Security tab from the Setup screen to enter the Security screen.

8.1 Access Level
NOTE
Even so the Setup references HDD (Hard Disk Drive) this feature is available to all drives supporting the
security mechanism, e.g. SSD (Solid State Drive) with an individual HDD Security Configuration item visible
for each. The item becomes invisible when no capable device is available.
The user can access Setup features on two different levels of accessibility, User and
Administrator. The current active
Access Level
is shown at the bottom of the Main
screen.
Select the
Main
tab from the Setup screen to enter Main screen.
