13.A - On Screen Error Messages
Most system errors and faults are displayed on screen highligh ng poten al issues to the user.
In addi on to the fault, a solu on is also suggested where relevant on how to remedy the issue.
Below are examples of some of the key messages.
Line 1: No VGA Signal detected.
Line 2: Please check laptop is connected and a
signal is routed to the laptop external screen
output.
Line 4: Error 001
Error Message
Your laptop is not outpu ng a signal. Most
Windows laptops need to have a func on
key pressed in order to output a signal on
the VGA port. Consult your laptop/Windows
documenta on or support personnel
Remedy
Line 1: No HDMI Signal detected.
Line 2: Please check laptop is connected and a
signal is routed to the laptop external screen
output.
Line 4: Error 002
Line1: abox fault detected.
Line 2: The system will automa cally shut down
in 60 Seconds.
Line 4: Error 003
The abox
TM
contains a cooling fan and the fan
has failed. The system will con nue to run,
but will shut down the screens when the safe
temperature has been exceeded. Consult your
supplier or support company to have the fault
looked at.
Line1: Codec communica ons failure.
Line 2: The abox cannot control the codec.
Line 4: Error 004
Your laptop is not outpu ng a signal. Most
Windows laptops need to have a func on
key pressed in order to output a signal on the
HDMI port. Consult your laptop/Windows
documenta on or support personnel
When the system has started, the abox
TM
is
unable to communicate with the codec. Check
that the system has been set for the correct
codec type (the system supports many diff erent
ones). Check the codec se ng to make sure the
serial port has been enabled and that it is not
password protected.
