6.4 Overcoming obstacles
Emergency stop function
When you let go of the joystick the max-e stops automatically on the flat surface within 1 meter

NOTE - Observe the wheelchair manufacturer’s information on the maximum obstacle height
in the user manual without fail!

Note - Be mindful of the anti-tip supports if you need to climb edges or obstacles
as they can otherwise be damaged.
6.5 Deactivating the drive
Turning off the max-e.
Press the ON/OFF switch.
Apply the parking brakes if
necessary and confirm the
display indicator accordingly.
» Drive shafts retract.
The power lead may be
unplugged from the drive unit
and from the battery pack.
Unplug power lead (if
necessary, apply the parking
brake beforehand).
Press the emergency release
button. Pressure reduces and
the drive shafts retract.
» Wheelchair can be moved
manually!
