8. Appendix:  test cable checking

Qulon-12m is equipped with special cables with clips

utilizing four-wire (Kelvin) connection. At the negligent treat-
ment - for example, a detachment from the device by pulling
by a cable, they could be damaged. If you have any doubts
about cables, it is possible to check them up, using a digital
tester as follows.

A. Attach cable to Qulon-12m.
B. Disconnect halves of both clamps from each other

(for example by installing a piece of cardboard or plastic be-
tween halves).

C. Switch tester to a diode testing.
D. Connect tester wires to the halves of black  (nega-

tive) clamp – you should have from 0.4 to 0.7 V in both direc-
tions.

E. Switch tester to resistor testing.
F. Connect tester wires to the halves of red (positive)

clamp – you should have more then 20 kOhms in both direc-
tions.
