If you must abandon the payload for any reason, press ABANDON. The Payload status will now show
“ABANDONED.” The drone will leave the payload and tether. Fly back to the take off location.

Ensure that the RDS1 is properly calibrated (see MAINTENANCE section).
2.
Load the payload using the loading buttons on the RDS1. The left button unlock/locks the mechanism, the right
button reels in the tether. After reeling in the tether and payload, the status should read “Attached.”
