7 Operation
7.1 Working Distance
The following steps explain how to adjust the working distance of the Micromanipulator.
The C-Pro covers a working distance of 200
– 500 mm.
1. Set up the surgical microscope so that the target object is focused.
2.
The defocus lever must be set to position “F” (focused), before the target beam can
focused (see figure 14).
3. Get the laser ready. Press the grey button
“standby” in the lower right corner of the
display. It will change into yellow button “ready”.
4. The desired working distance can be roughly adjusted in advance by turning the
numbered positioning ring (see figure 15).

Ear surgery:
230 mm
Larynx surgery:
400 mm
