3. Cleaning, disinfection and sterilization
3.1 Cleaning of contra-angle
3.1.1 Removal
– Remove the contra-angle from motor.
– Remove the nozzle holder, internal nozzle and burs/bits from the contra-angle.
– Unscrew the screw on head with hex wrench. (Figure 8)
– Unplug the head from the body. (Figure 9)
– Unplug the driving shaft from the body. (Figure 9)
3.1.2 Cleaning
– Thoroughly clean the removed parts with a neutral or mild alkaline detergent.
– Rinse the cleaning solution thoroughly with tap water.
– Immediately install the contra-angle after fl ushing, wipe the surface to clean, and then lubricate it with oil. Oiling can drain the internal water inside handpiece.
