7.2 For top entry cable(s), tie these groups to the farthest tie bar in the Cabinet. Bottom entry cable(s) can
either be tied off to the first bar or waterfall the groups at the upper bar and tie to the bottom bar for extra slack.
7.3
Reinstall one of the Cabinet’s Frames. Position the Frame on the bottom pivots and attach the
safety cord to the back of the Frame. Allow the Frame to rest at a 45˚ angle.
7.4 In this position, tie the appropriate groups to the bottom of the Frame.
7.5 Mount a splicing unit on the Frame and position it so the connections will be made behind the
blocks. The completed connections and cable slack can be stored in the trough.
7.6 Splice the block’s connectors/modules to cable per your company procedure. Tie and store the
cable groups and connectors/modules in the frame block trough.

containing sealants, carefully follow safety, health and environmental information on the label or
the Material Safety Data Sheet.
7.7 Secure the Frame in the upright position with the screw at the top of the Frame. Repeat this
procedure with the next two Frames and complete the Cabinet splicing.

8.0 Labeling
8.1
Remove protective tape from identification
pads on blocks.
8.2
Select proper sequence of labels (blue-
distribution; green-feeder) and detach strip
of 20 labels from sheet.
Note: 1-6-11 etc. are attached to the left side of
block and 5-10-15 etc. are attached to the
right side.
8.3
Carefully remove protective backing from
strip as shown.
8.4
Align strips of numbers with block
identification pads and press in place.
Carefully remove outer liner, leaving labels
on pads.

Fill in binding post log.
