Remove the cowl and screws and soak the plywood mounting tabs in thin CA glue.  This will strengthen 
the mounting tabs.  Re-install the screws.  NOTE:  On the glow version, these cowl screws are under high 
stress.  Check them frequently for tightness.  Cowls on glow-powered planes tend to be removed more 
often than cowls on electrics.  After several removals, you may need to strengthen the holes with thin CA, 
add washers to the screws, or convert to a larger diameter screw. 
 
The cowl includes a round plastic baffle piece that simulates the scale engine louvers on the Sukhoi cowl.  
Only install this piece if your power system can operate with the reduced amount of cooling air.  If 
desired, glue in place with medium or thick CA glue. 
 

 

 

On the bottom of the wings, locate the servo cutout and aileron control horn slot.  Remove the covering 

over both.   

 

 

 

Install the aileron control horns with a generous amount of CA glue.  Use the string inside the wing to pull 

the aileron servo wires through the wing.
