If you chose:
■
Disable VPNs — no further configuration is necessary.
■
IPSec Enabled — see “Configuring IPSec Connections” below.
■
PPTP Server Enabled — see “Setting PPTP End Points” on
page 54 and “Configuring PPTP Users” on page 55 .
Configuring IPSec Connections
IPSec (Internet Protocol Security) is a complex secure protocol
with a variety of different encryption methods. When setting up
an IPSec connection between two devices they must support the
same encryption method.
Viewing IPSec Connections
The IPSec Connections Screen shows information about the IPSec
connections made by the Gateway. It also allows you to add,
delete, edit and temporarily disable IPSec connections.

For each connection made by the Gateway, a row is added to
the table. Each row contains the following items:

Delete button — deletes the IPSec connection on that row.
This will prevent the device or user from establishing a secure
connection with the Gateway in future.
■
Name — Each connection is named. This name is used to
identify the connection and must be the same at both ends
