Corrected Problems in Release 3.0.5

4-port Gigabit
Ethernet Layer 3
Switching Module
(GBIC)
■
At Release 3.0.1 on the 4-port Gigabit Ethernet Multilayer Switching
Module, the traffic from the same source MAC address that traverses
different ports of a trunk is now learned in the address cache for that
port. In earlier releases, the module sometimes dropped Layer 2 traffic
that came from the same source MAC addresses. This problem had no
effect on routed traffic on the module.
Corrected Problems
in Release 3.0.5
This section describes problems that have been corrected in software
Release 3.0.5 for Multilayer Switching Modules.
QoS
■
If you modify a QoS control classifier to a control number of 1, the
system no longer returns error number 37. (25804)
■
Previously, QoS NonFlow classifier and control settings stopped
working after the module was reset. To work around this problem you
needed to redefine NonFlow control to get it working again after a
reset. You no longer need to do this. (28174 and 28842)
RMON
■
When RMON memory resources have been fully depleted, problems
no longer occur when you begin monitoring with certain groups.
(30016)
RMON-2 Network
Management
Applications
■
You can now use the Discover Agents Wizard of Traffix Manager v3.0.
You no longer need to manually configure Release 3.0.5 agents. Also
you no longer need to limit other RMON-2 management applications
monitoring to two ports per Release 3.0.0 agent. (30016)
■
When you use a management application such as Traffix, you no
longer need to disable monitoring on
all
ports before you select a new
port to monitor. Leaving one port enabled during the disable/enable
process no longer causes the RMON agent to crash. (30016)
IP Policies
■
The command line interface now accepts a single line definition of an
import/export policy. You also may use valid minimum abbreviations as
well as progressing through the menus. For complete information on
valid command abbreviations, see the
Switch 4007 Command
