Monitoring Power
Usage LEDs
The Switch has four Power Utilization LEDs that show the current level of
power supplied by the unit as shown in
Table 13 .
Monitoring Port LEDs The Switch’s Port LEDs show Ethernet information or Power over Ethernet
information depending on the status of the Port LED Status LED on the
front panel:

When the Port LED Status LED is off (switch mode):
■
The Port LEDs show Ethernet information. See Introducing the
Superstack 3 Switch 4400 in the Getting Started Guide .
■
There are no Power over Ethernet problems.
■
When the Port LED Status LED flashes yellow (switch mode):

The Port LEDs show Ethernet information. See Introducing the
Superstack 3 Switch 4400 in the Getting Started Guide .
■
There is a Power over Ethernet fault. Push the LED Mode button to
change to power mode and see the details of the fault (see
Table 14 on page 118 ) or look at the PoE Detail screen in the Web
interface (see “Monitoring Power Usage using the Web Interface”
on page 118 ).

When the Port LED Status LED lights green (power mode):
■
The Port LEDs show Power over Ethernet information. See Table 14
on page 118 .
■
Details of any faults will be shown on a port by port basis.
Press the LED Mode button to change the Port LED Status mode.
