From the
Network Addressing Mode
drop-down list,
select the addressing mode that you want to use. There
are four modes
■
Choose
NAT with DHCP Client
if you obtain the NAT
Public IP address, the WAN router address and the
WAN and DMZ subnet masks from a remote DHCP
server on the WAN. If you use a modem to connect to
the Internet, you may have to use this setting because
some modem ISPs implement DHCP in their service.
This is the default setting.
■
Choose
Standard
if your network does not use
private IP addresses or if you have IP addresses for
each machine that requires access to the Internet.
■
Choose
NAT Enabled
if you want to use a single IP
address for accessing the Internet, if you use private IP
addresses on the network or if you do not have an IP
address for each machine that requires access to the
Internet.
