FTP User and Password
In order to obtain log files from the server for use when
troubleshooting technical issues, you may FTP to the server from a
remote computer. Setting the user name and password adds a layer
of security so that accidental or unauthorized access to the
server is not permitted.
File Share Service User and Password
The second method of obtaining log files from the server is to
access the server from a file share via a remote computer. To
enable the file share on the server, check the
Enable File Share
box and set a password. The user name is locked to
tssuser
.
Setting the user name and password adds a layer of security so
that accidental or unauthorized access to the server is not
permitted.
Once established, the server’s file share becomes accessible from
a networked PC by either browsing the local network or mapping the
share as a drive. When mapping the share to a drive the following
convention should be utilized.

for the folder to map, where
<host name>
is the host name or IP address of the server.
Saving Network Configuration
Click on OK or APPLY to accept new entries. To abandon unsaved
changes and return to the current setting, click the red close box
at the upper right of the dialog window.
Some changes may not take full effect until the TSS-2470 Time
Delay is restarted. It is recommended that a full restart be
performed after enabling DHCP.
Date and Time
From the Main Menu selection bar at the top of the screen, select
Configure>Options, then select
Date/Time
in the window at left.
The date and time in the TSS-2470 Time Delay’s system clock can be set
by entering values in the Time Set window. To enable the NTP service,
check the Automatic Updates box. A valid entry for at least one NTP
server must be made in the Network setup dialog, and the network must
be configured and connected. See the next section for information on
NTP.
The date and time should only be set when the TSS-2470 Time Delay is
in STOP mode.
