Chapter 2 WRE6505 Modes

WRE6505 User’s Guide

Under Repeater mode, the WRE6505 supports three WPS behaviors: Normal mode, Range boost
mode, and Speed boost mode. These behaviors are only available in Repeater mode through the
Maintenance screen.

2.1.1.1 Changing Operating Mode

Push the

AP / Repeater

mode switch on the WRE6505’s bottom panel to the

position to have

the WRE6505 act as an access point. Push the switch to the

Repeater

position to have the

WRE6505 work as a universal repeater.

The WRE6505 restarts automatically after you change operating modes.
