The following table describes the fields in this screen.

Interface Group
Group Name
Select the interface group name for which you want to configure LAN settings. See
for how to create a new interface group.
LAN IP Setup
Set up the IP address that you want to use to log into the web configurator.
IP Address
Enter the LAN IPv4 address you want to assign to your PMG2006-T20A in dotted decimal
notation, for example, 192.168.1.1 (factory default).
Subnet Mask
Type the subnet mask of your network in dotted decimal notation, for example 255.255.255.0
(factory default). Your PMG2006-T20A automatically computes the subnet mask based on the IP
Address you enter, so do not change this field unless you are instructed to do so.
DHCP Server State
Define the rules on how you want to assign IP addresses to the LAN clients on your network.

to have the PMG2006-T20A act as a DHCP server or DHCP relay agent.

to stop the DHCP server on the PMG2006-T20A.

to have the PMG2006-T20A forward DHCP request to the DHCP server.

This field is only available when you select

IP Address
Enter the IPv4 address of the actual remote DHCP server in this field.

Beginning IP
Address
This field specifies the first of the contiguous addresses in the IP address pool.
Ending IP
Address
This field specifies the last of the contiguous addresses in the IP address pool.

to have the PMG2006-T20A record DHCP IP addresses with the MAC addresses the
IP addresses are assigned to. The PMG2006-T20A assigns the same IP address to the same MAC
address when the host requests an IP address again through DHCP.
DHCP Server
Lease Time
This is the period of time DHCP-assigned addresses is used. DHCP automatically assigns IP
addresses to clients when they log in. DHCP centralizes IP address management on central
computers that run the DHCP server program. DHCP leases addresses, for a period of time,
which means that past addresses are “recycled” and made available for future reassignment to
other systems.
This field is only available when you select

Enter the lease time of the DHCP server.
DNS Values
This field is only available when you select

if your ISP dynamically assigns DNS server information.

if you have the DNS proxy service. The PMG2006-T20A redirects clients’ DNS
queries to a DNS server for resolving domain names.

Enter the first and second DNS (Domain Name System) server IP addresses the PMG2006-T20A
passes to the DHCP clients.
