P2302HWUDL-P1 Support Notes

Trunking has the ability to

hop on

and

hop off

the VoIP network from the PSTN (public switched telephone

network). Once the user wants to make a long distance call or international call, he can first

hop on

to a nearby

VoIP trunking gateway device. ZyXEL trunking gateway device can place calls across the long distance over

the IP network, and then

hop off

the network at the device nearest the desired destination and onto the local

PSTN to complete the call.

Thus, user calling from the PSTN will be able to reduce long distance telephone charges by first calling ZyXEL
trunking gateway device via a local telephone number.
