ZyXEL NWA-3500 User’s Guide

I can see the Login screen, but I cannot log in to the ZyXEL Device.

Make sure you have entered the user name and password correctly. The default password
is

1234

. This fields are case-sensitive, so make sure [Caps Lock] is not on.

You cannot log in to the web configurator while someone is using the SMT or Telnet to
access the ZyXEL Device. Log out of the ZyXEL Device in the other session, or ask the
person who is logged in to log out.

Disconnect and re-connect the power adaptor or cord to the ZyXEL Device.

If this does not work, you have to reset the device to its factory defaults. See

Section 2.2

on page 44

I cannot access the SMT.

See the troubleshooting suggestions for

I cannot see or access the Login screen in the web

configurator.

Ignore the suggestions about your browser.

I cannot access the ZyXEL Device via the console port.

Check to see if the ZyXEL Device is connected to your computer's console port.

Check to see if the communications program is configured correctly. The
communications software should be configured as follows:
VT100 terminal emulation.
9,600 bps is the default speed on leaving the factory. Try other speeds in case the speed
has been changed.
No parity, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, data flow set to none.

I cannot use FTP to upload / download the configuration file. / I cannot use FTP
to upload new firmware.
