Chapter 5 Conference Operations
If...
Then...
Both parties are registered with
the SIP cloud service and need
to initiate a
SIP
conference.
Use one of the following:
à
Remote IP address
à
Registered SIP user name of the remote end
à
Remote "SIP user name@domain name"
Both parties are registered
with the H.323 cloud service
and need to initiate an
H.323
conference.
Use one of the following:
à
Remote IP address
à
Registered H.323 user name (H.323 ID) of the re-
mote end
à
Remote terminal number (E.164)
Note:
à
If the remote IP address is used to initiate a call, local and remote terminals
do not need to be registered with the H.323/SIP cloud service.
à
If the registered H.323 user name or terminal number of the remote end is
used to initiate a call, local and remote terminals must be registered with the
H.323 cloud service. For the registration method, refer to
the H.323 Conference Cloud Service

If the registered SIP user name of the remote end is used to initiate a call,
local and remote terminals must be registered with the SIP cloud service. If
the remote "SIP user name@domain name" is used to initiate a call, only
the remote party needs to be registered with the SIP cloud service. For
the registration method, refer to
4.1.3 Configuring the SIP Conference Cloud
