4.1.6 Configuring the Firewall
Network Address Translation (
) maps IP addresses of an LAN to IP addresses of an
external public network, and then terminals in the LAN can communicate with terminals in
the Internet.
If an
terminal in a private network that connects to a public network through NAT
needs to communicate with a terminal in the public network, you can configure the firewall
to implement NAT traversal.

If a terminal in the private network communicates with a terminal in another network
by making an H.323 call, H.323 NAT information needs to be configured.
l
If a terminal in the private network communicates with a terminal in another network
by making an SIP call, SIP NAT information needs to be configured.
Context
has the following restrictions:
l
Only point-to-point calls are supported, and multi-point calls are not supported.
l
Both the private network and public network support the ICE function.
l
dual stream is not supported.
Prerequisite
The terminal is not engaged in a conference.
