network with other Z-Wave certified devices from other 
manufacturers and/or other applications. All non-battery 
operated nodes within the network will act as repeaters 
regardless of vendor to increase reliability of the network.

This product features the latest Security 2 (S2) framework to 
remove smart home network hacking risks. This device is 
equipped with a unique authentication code for trusted 
wireless communication.

PROGRAMMING

There are 2 ways you can use the Remote Switch to 
control other Z-Wave devices in your network:

1. Scene Control:

Perfect for smart bulb control and non Z-Wave devices

Ÿ

Supports 1-tap, 2-tap, 3-tap, 4-tap, 5-tap, paddle held, 
and paddle released for each paddle

2. Direct Association

Great to control other Z-Wave devices directly

Ÿ

Perfect for Z-Wave smart bulb control or as a virtual 
add-on for existing Z-Wave switches and dimmers

Ÿ

Use only for Z-Wave devices included with the same 
security level as your Remote Switch

Ÿ

Supports 1-tap for on/off control (Group 2) and 
paddle held/released for dimming (Group 3)

Programming your Remote Switch using either of the 
above methods will depend on the capabilities and 
interface layout of your Z-Wave system.

You can easily check if the Remote Switch is within your Z-
Wave hub’s range: 

Press and hold

 the

 lower paddle

 for 

20 seconds

 until the 

LED indicator starts blinking 

white. 

The LED indicator will 

then report signal strength.

Solid green =

 direct communication with the primary 

controller is stable

Flashing green = 

direct communication with the primary 

controller is established but signal is weak

Solid orange =

 stable communication with hub via 

repeaters

Flashing orange =

 communication with the primary 

controller is established via repeaters but signal is weak

Solid red = 

communication with the primary controller 

has failed

This function may only be activated once the 

Remote Switch has been included to a Z-Wave network.

Values: 0 - LED always off; 1 - LED on when button is 
pressed to indicate scene activation or association 
command (LED blinks once for single tap, twice for 
double tap, etc.); 2 - LED always on in color specified 
under parameter 2; 3 - LED always on in color specified 
under parameter 3. Default: 1

HOW IT WORKS?

The 

LED indicator

 will light up anytime a paddle is pressed. It 

will blink once for 1-tap, twice for 2-tap, 3 times for 3-tap, etc.
You can adjust the LED indicator color and operation mode in 
the advanced settings below.
