Scanning
This function is used for scanning channels with radio traffic. When activated, the symbol
is shown in the display.
You can choose between 3 sub menus:
SCAN LIST: Scans the channels of your choice added in the scanning list of the radio.
CTCSS: Scans all the CTCSS sub tones for the current radio channel.
PRIO CH: Scans between the current radio channel and a selected priority channel.
1. Press [Menu] to enter menu mode.
2. Use [UP] or [DN] to scroll list until SCANNING is shown.
3. Press [Menu] to select.
If you want to create a scanning list and scan the channels in the list:
4. Use [UP] or [DN] to select SCAN LIST.
5. Press [Menu] to confirm.
6. Use [UP] or [DN] to select channel.
7. Press [H/L] and select [Yes] to add channels to the list
and [No] to skip the channel.
8. Repeat 6 and 7 if you want to add more channels to the list.
9. Press [Menu] to confirm when all desired channels are added.
10. Press [SC] or [PTT] to stop the scanning.
If you want to scan the CTCSS sub tones for the current radio channel:
11. Use [UP] or [DN] to select CTCSS.
12. Press [Menu] to select.
13. Press [SC] to start the scanning.
14. Press [SC] or [PTT] to stop the scanning.
If you want to scan a priority channel and the current radio channel:
15. Use [UP] or [DN] to select PRIO CH.
16. Press [Menu] to select
17. Use [UP] or [DN] to select priority channel.
18. Press [Menu] to select.
19. Press [SC] to start the scanning.
20. Press [SC] or [PTT] to stop the scanning.
