FC470 EVO 7 QUICK INFLATION SYSTEM
Illustrations in APPENDIX page A-11 to A-12
NOTE
INFLATION PRESSURE OF THE BUOYANCY CHAMBER, KEEL AND
SMALL BUOYANCY CHAMBERS: 240 mbar (3.4 PSI)
INFLATION PRESSURE OF THE DECK: 1100 mbar (15.95 PSI)
INSTALLING THE QUICK INFLATION SYSTEM:
Connect up the inflation system:
Fit the 2 buoyancy chamber inflation valves into the corresponding quick inflation valve sockets.
Fit the adapter into the deck quick inflation valve socket. Fit the deck quick inflation valve into the
adapter.
Fit the pressure reducing valve onto a 15L, 200 bar compressed air cylinder.
Install the compressed air cylinder in the cylinder tray at the rear of the deck.
Fix the quick inflation system:
•
Either against the transom using the clamps provided
•
Or around the cylinder using the straps provided.
NOTE
BE SURE TO FIT THE FLOW REDUCTION ADAPTER TO THE DECK
BEFORE FITTING THE QUICK INFLATION VALVE. THE REDUCTION
EVENS UP THE TIME TAKEN TO INFLATE THE BUOYANCY CHAMBER
AND THE DECK.
QUICK INFLATION PROCEDURE:
Place the boat on a flat surface devoid of any sharp object which could damage it.
Check that:
The 4 valves on the boat are in "inflate" position.
The clips on the communication pipes between the small buoyancy chambers are open.
The automatic inflation system for the keel is fitted and its valve open.
The plugs in the overpressure valves have been removed.
The 3 valves of the inflation system are open.
Open the valve on the compressed air cylinder. The boat, deck, small buoyancy chambers and keel
will inflate. When one of the overpressure valves on the buoyancy chamber and the one on the deck
open, close the valve on the compressed air cylinder.
Change the valves on the boat to sailing position.
Close the clips on the communication pipes between the small buoyancy chambers.
Close the valve on the automatic inflation system for the keel.
Fit the plugs into the overpressure valves.
NOTE
IF, WHILE INFLATING, THE OVERPRESSURE VALVES OF THE
BUOYANCY CHAMBER OPEN BEFORE THAT OF THE DECK, YOU CAN
CLOSE THE INFLATION VALVES ON THE BUOYANCY CHAMBER.
LIKEWISE, IF THE DECK OVERPRESSURE VALVE OPENS BEFORE
THOSE OF THE BUOYANCY CHAMBERS, YOU CAN CLOSE THE DECK
INFLATION VALVE.
