CLEANING
1 GENERAL
A. Correct and thorough cleaning is essential to maintain public health standards and
satisfactory operations.
B. Before use always check to see if the unit is clean, if it is dirty, clean it!
C. Sediments can collect in the tank bottom and hamper operation of the unit and must be
removed at periodic intervals. The tank cover and thermostat can be removed to facilitate
cleaning.
Also a commercially available descaler can be used to remove scale. Observe the limitations
and instructions coming with such a descaler.
2 CLEANING
FLUID
The cleaning fluid shall have the following characteristics:
- Harmless to ferrous metals, aluminium, etc. …
- No
residual
odour
- No irritating fumes or vapours
- Non
abrasive
- pH-value between 6 and 8
3 CLEAINING
PRODECURE
NOTE: Make sure that the unit is disconnected from the power supply.
A. CAUTION: Do not submerge the unit in cleaning fluid during the cleaning process. At all times
it must be assured that electrical components are never exposed to water of other cleaning
fluids. A save cleaning process is best assured when done manually thus not using standard
cleaning procedures by mechanical washing.
B. Clean exterior with a sponge or cloth and wipe thoroughly clean.
CAUTION: Do not use any scouring agent.
C. Use a commercially available stiff, bristled, non-metallic brush to remove stubborn dirt
particles, taking care not to damage treated surfaces.
D. After cleaning, rinse the inner tank thoroughly with hot water.
