DISASSEMBLY 

 
 

(8)  Remove nuts (160), spring washers (170), washers (180) and kettle assy (280) from 

frame boiler assy (10). 

(9)  Remove the drain valve (350) from the kettle assy (280). 
(10)  Disassembly of the kettle assy is described in paragraph D. 
(11)  Remove nuts (160) and threaded rods (150) from base plate assy (140). 

 

C.  Disassembly of electrical installation (Ref. IPL, Fig. 4 and 5) 

(1) 

Unit L13471-40 excluded

 

Disconnect wires from the relay (40). Remove screws (210) to remove the relay (40) 
with clip nuts (220). Remove terminal cover (110). Remove nuts (270), washers (260) 
and wiring from terminal block (50). Remove screws (230) and terminal block (50) from 
frame assy boiler. 

(2) 

For unit L13471-40 only

 

Remove the relay (40) and the relay socket (50) form the frame assy boiler. 

(3)  Remove nut (190), spring washers (180), washers (170), cable clamps (150) and 

screws (160) from frame assy boiler and screw (200) from the kettle assy. 

(4)  Remove screw (20), clip nuts (30) and wiring loom with connector (10). 

 

NOTE:  If necessary wire harness binding cord may be cut during disassembly. 

 

D.  Disassembly of kettle assy (Ref. IPL, Fig. 3,4 and 5) 

(1)  Remove thermostat (4/70) from kettle assy (10). 
(2)  Remove nut (40,40A) and sealing washer (50). 
(3) 

For units L13471, L13471-19, L13471-33 and L13471-40 only

 

Remove valve holder (70) with pressure relief valve (60) and sealing washers (50) and 
washer gasket (80). 

(4) 

For units L13471-11 and L13471-32 only 

Remove coupling (280), T-connector (220), bush (230), pressure relief valve (60) and 
connector (240). 

(5)  Remove the lid (30) and lid gasket (100) from kettle assy (10). 
(6)  Remove sensor clamps (160) and temperature sensor from heating element assy (90). 
(7)  Remove overheat protector (140) and washer gasket (150) from lid (30). 
(8)  Remove nuts (170) to remove the heating element assy (90) with its copper rings (180). 
(9)  Remove tube (120) from lid (30). 
(10)  Remove connector rod assy (110,110A) from kettle assy (10).
