Noisy Motor
Were the fan speeds checked fan speeds prior to installation?
Is the ducting clear?
Check to make sure motor is attached to housing.
Is the backdraft damper on the transition piece functioning
properly? Does it open when the hood is engaged?
If it is stuck, it will sound like motor noise but it’s really the damper.
Was a damper installed on the roof or side vent?
Check that the damper is fully functioning by engaging the hood
and checking if it opens and closes properly.
If the motor is accessible, the motor knob can be tightened.
