How to get an 

IP address 

Static acquisition 

(Static) 

You  can  also  select  "Dynamic  acquisition". 

Static  acquisition  means  that  you  directly 

enters  the  "IP  address",  "Subnet  mask",  and 

"Gateway".  Dynamic  acquisition  means  that 

the CANSwitch-AF2S2 module uses the DHCP 

protocol to obtain the IP address, subnet mask 

and  gateway  information  allocated  by  the 

DHCP server on the network. 

Note:  The  function  of  dynamic  acquisition  can 

only be used when there is a DHCP server on 

the network. Usually, the router can also serve 

as a DHCP server.
