FKDM..-C
are designed for a steplesss control of 3 ~ compressor motors
Constant pressure and temperature trend, caused by the continiously compressor power control,
makes energy saving at the most energy-intensive part of the refrigeration circuit possible.
With the selection program of the compressor manufacturer, it is possible to get the rated current of
the compressor in the desired operation point. These current is the deciding current for the selection
of the frequency inverter.
By operation of the compressor directly at mains, the starting current is very high. If the compressor is
driven with a frequency inverter, this current is limited by
“
soft-start
”
. A maximum starting current of

of the rated frequency inverter current is possible.
If the compressor is allowed to be driven with 60 or 87 hz, the performance can be improved clearly,
compared with 50 Hz operation. Please note the information of the compressor manufacturer.
3.2
Functional description
The frequency inverters from the
FXDM..-C
series generate their 3 ~ output with variable voltage and
frequency from the three-phase mains on the input. These are structured corresponding to the general
requirements in DIN EN 61800-2 for adjustable speed electrical power systems and are designed for
Single-quadrant operation.

Reliable operation of the compressor motor by integrated all-pole effective Sine

lter
(phase to phase and phase to ground).
•
No danger for the compressor motor through voltage peaks generated from the fre-
quency inverer.
•
Installation without shielded cables between frequency inverter and compressor.
•
No limitation of cable length between frequency inverter and compressor.
3.3
Maintenance
The device must be checked for soiling and, if necessary, cleaned in periodic intervals.
3.4
Transport
•
The device is packed ex factory to suit the transport method previously agreed.
•
Always use the original packaging materials when transporting the device.
•
Avoid shocks and impacts to the device during the transport.
•
During manual handling the human lifting and carrying restrictions must be observed and
adhered to.
3.5
Storage
•
The device must be stored in its original packaging in a dry and weather-proof room.
•
Avoid exposure to extreme heat and cold.
•
Avoid prolonged storage; we recommend a maximum of one year (consult the manufacturer
before starting if stored for longer).
3.6
Disposal / recycling
Disposal must be carried out professionally and environmentally friendly in accordance with the legal
stipulations.
