Using the “Aux TS File” Option
When streaming UDP, the TS stream can be simultaneously saved to a file on a USB storage device using
the Auxiliary TS File option.
(1)
Connect a USB flash drive or other USB storage device to “USB” on the back of the encoder.
*Note:
The USB drive must be formatted in either FAT32, VFAT, EXT3, or EXT4 format.
(2)
Connect and configure the encoder “Output Format” to “UDP” (See Section 6.4).
(3)
When UDP output is selected, the “Aux TS File Enable” option appears. Select “True” using the
dropdown menu to enable an auxiliary .ts file recording.
(4)
The “Aux TS File Location” field appears. Enter “/tmp/aux1.ts” to select your connected USB
device and set the file name to “aux1.ts”.
*Note:
After clicking “stop”, wait at least 10 seconds before removing the USB drive from the
encoder. This will ensure all buffered data finishes transferring to the USB drive.
