When the transmitter is turned off or moves outside the
coverage area of the CellPhone Detector Plus, the alarm
sequences end.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
In addition to guarding against interference effects from hand-
held transmitters, the CellPhone Detector Plus can also help
enforce restrictions designed to eliminate eavesdropping. This
can be unintentional transmissions in secure areas as well as
intentional abuses.
The following typical applications describe the recommended
placements and threshold settings for the CellPhone Detector
Plus.
Small to Medium Size Room
In a small control room, hospital room, or meeting room, place
the CellPhone Detector Plus close to the sensitive equipment,
but away from outside windows.
Set the threshold to MEDIUM.
Sensitive Equipment
If a specific piece of equipment is susceptible to radio
transmissions, place the CellPhone Detector Plus on that piece
of equipment, a nearby wall or the cart that carries the
equipment.
Set the threshold to NEAR or MEDIUM.
Large Areas
If placed in the center of a large area, a single CellPhone
Detector Plus can monitor an area up to 15 by 15 meters. For
some large areas, it may be necessary to use multiple
CellPhone Detector Plus units to obtain complete coverage.
Set the threshold to FAR.
