PROBLEM

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS

Audio alarm is too loud or too
soft.

Adjust the volume setting.
Press the TEST/MUTE button
to sound the alarm during
adjustment.

Sound is too soft or distorted,
even when the volume is set
too high.

Replace the batteries or use
external DC power.

Upon alarm the light flashes,
but there is no audio

Move the PWR-SPK switch to
the UP position.

The Alert LED does not flash
during an alarm.

Move the FLASH switch to
the UP position

Unit sounds a single beep
about every 6 minutes.

Batteries are low and need
replacement.

My cellular phone is on, but
the CellPhone Detector Plus
is not alarming.

The CellPhone Detector Plus
only alarms when a cellular
phone is transmitting. Please
see “Auto-Registration ...” on
page 9 for details about how
cellular phones and cellular
systems operate.
