corrector located on the side at 8 o'clock. From a
technical perspective, the movement cage had to
be shifted and the gears rebuilt to preserve the
perfect symmetry on the dial between the power
reserve and equation of time displays.
EQUATION OF TIME FUNCTION
The hand indicates the difference between the
mean solar time and the real solar time which varies
throughout the year.
For example, if the equation of time hand shows
+14 minutes, this means that the mean time
displayed by the minute hand is 14 minutes ahead
of the real solar time.
