5. Continue to fill the Tank with water to 4 inches (10 cm) deep:
a. Hot water can be used at this stage and will help dissolve the
Epsom Salt
b. Stop filling with water when you reach 4 inches (10 cm) deep
6. Add Epsom salt to the water in the Tank:
a. 100 lbs (45 kg) at a time, mixing in fully as you go
b. Standing in the water and mixing it around with your feet can
make the process go quicker
c.
TIP:
Using a clean sump pump on its side is the fastest way to
mix the Epsom salt into the water
d. As the Epsom salt dissolves the water temperature will lower
due to an exothermic reaction
7. Add and mix all 800 lbs (363 Kg) of Epsom salt into the 4 inches of
water (10 cm):
a. The water level will rise as more Epsom salt is added
8. Continue filling with water level until 9 inches (23 cm) of depth is
reached:
a. Hot water can be used at this stage and will help the Tank
reach the desired temperature more quickly
b. Mix all salt into the water before using the provided Water
Pump (#7a)
NOTE:
If you bought your salt from Zen Float Co, you received 800 lbs
(363 kg) of Epsom salt and you will use all of it for the first fill of your Tank.
