Cleaning and maintenance
The humidifier should be cleaned at least once
a week.
1
Before cleaning, turn off the appliance by pressing the
“ON/OFF” button and disconnect the plug from the wall
outlet.
2
Remove the water tank from the base of the humidifier,
lifting it up with the handle. Turn the water tank upside down.
3
Loosen the cap with the valve by turning it counter
clockwise and drain the water remaining in the tank.
4
Remove the water softener filter (see “FITTING THE
WATER SOFTENER FILTER”).
Fill water tank with hot water and mild detergent
●
(dishwashing liquid), tightly screw the cap with the
valve and shake the tank several times. Empty the tank.
Repeat the operation several times by pouring water
into the tank without detergent until complete removal of
detergent residue.
Pay attention not to leave any cleaning solution
(detergent) in the water tank.
5
Empty the base of the humidifier removing the
accumulated water (see section “DRAINING THE BASE OF
HUMIDIFIER”).
6
Gently clean the ultrasonic transducer, using the brush
supplied.
Regular cleaning reduces scaling.
PREVENTION AGAINST SCALE BUILD
Use cooled boiled water or distilled water. The water
●
temperature should not exceed 40°C.
At least once a week clean the water tank, humidifier
●
base and ultrasonic transducer.
Before using the humidifier, always pour fresh water into
●
the water tank.
If you do not use the humidifier for a long time, empty the
●
water tank and humidifier base, then wash all parts of the
humidifier, wipe and dry it.
The appliance is best stored in its original packaging.
●
DESCALING THE AIR HUMIDIFIER
1
Turn the appliance off by pressing the “ON/OFF” button
and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
2
Fill the container with 50 ml of vinegar (6% solution of
acetic acid) and 100 ml of water, and mix the whole. Pour
the resulting solution into the base of the humidifier for 30
minutes.
3
Empty the base of the humidifier (see section “DRAINING
THE BASE OF HUMIDIFIER”) and remove the scale with
a soft cloth.
4
Rinse the base of humidifier with clean water and dry it
with an absorbent cloth.
D
Be careful that no water gets into the fan outlet
(electrical components) because it may cause
serious damage to the humidifier.
If water gets into the fan outlet, contact your
service center.
FITTING THE WATER SOFTENER FILTER
The air humidifier is equipped with a water softener filter.
Special cartridges contained in the filter are installed to
prevent the growth of bacteria and also they react with the
calcium contained in the water, which protects the ultrasonic
transducer from scale.
1
Remove the steam jet from the water tank.
2
Remove the water tank from the base of the humidifier,
lifting it up with the handle. Turn the water tank upside down.
3
Loosen the cap with the valve by turning it counter
clockwise.
The direction of unscrewing and screwing is
marked on the underside of the cap with the
valve.
4
Attach and tighten water softener filter on the thread
located on the cap with the valve.
5
Replace the cap with the valve with mounted water
softener filter to the water tank and turn the cap in a clockwise
direction until the water tank is sealed.
The direction of unscrewing and screwing is
marked on the underside of the cap with the
valve.
6
Turn the container upside down and mount the water
tank by putting it on the base of the humidifier. Mount the
steam jet on the water tank.
Water softener filter should be replaced after
about 6 months of operation, in order to
achieve the best efficiency of water softening.
CLEANING THE INLET FILTER
The main function of the inlet filter is to protect internal
components from excessive dirt.
Before you start cleaning the inlet filter, make
sure that the air humidifier is turned off and the
plug is pulled out from the wall outlet.
Inlet filter should be cleaned periodically in
case of heavy pollution.
1
Remove the steam jet from the water tank.
2
Remove the water tank from the base of the humidifier,
lifting it up with the handle. Turn the water tank upside down.
3
Empty the base of the humidifier removing the
accumulated water (see section “DRAINING THE BASE OF
HUMIDIFIER”).
