Do not use the network of your institute or laboratory to stream data to the storage and

analysis PC or to your servers. Most likely, data transfer will be too slow and will
jeopardize your experiment and will lead to an unstable system. If the PC for system

control and the storage and analysis PC are both connected to an internal network,

ensure that the preferred streaming path is via the optical fiber cable.

Do not use any USB devices (external hard drives) to stream onto; data transfer will be too slow.

Do not exchange single Raid elements

of your storage and analysis PC. The system is designed

to function as one unit. To remove already saved data from your storage and analysis PC (not

during data acquisition), you can use USB devices (external hard drives) with USB 2.0 and 3.0

connections; internal network connections, and the optical fiber cable.

To configure individual data repositories or to connect to storage services of the institute, solely for

data storage, the type of PCI board and the information on the cable can be obtained from Carl
Zeiss Microscopy GmbH. However, ensure that all additional storage devices are disconnected from

the PC of system control or the storage and analysis PC during image acquisition to ensure the full
acquisition performance of the system.
