Miscellaneous Commands
FB
Suppress all occurrences of up to 15 different characters, starting at the current cursor position, as the cursor is advanced by other commands. When the
FC command is encountered, the suppress function is terminated. The cursor is not moved by the FB command.
Syntax = FBnnxxyy . .zz
where nn is a
count of the number of suppressed characters in the list and xxyy .. zz is the list of characters to be suppressed. (xx stands for the hex value for
an ASCII code,
FC
Disables suppress filter and clear all suppressed characters.

E4
Replaces up to 15 characters in the data string with user specified characters. Replacement continues until the E5 command is encountered.
Syntax

where nn is the total count of both characters to be replaced plus replacement characters; xx1 defines characters to be replaced
and xx2 defines replacement characters, continuing through zz1 and zz2.
E5
Terminates character replacement .

Compare character in current cursor position to the character “xx.” , If characters are equal, increment cursor. If characters are not equal, no format
match.
Syntax = FExx

EC Check to make sure there is an ASCII number at the current cursor position. If character is not numeric, format is aborted.

Check to make sure there is a non-numeric ASCII character at the current cursor position. If character is numeric, format is aborted.

Data Formatter
When Data Formatter is turned off, the bar code data is output to the host as read (including prefixes and suffixes). Choose one of the following options.
Default = Data Formatter On, but Not Required.

When Data Formatter is required, all input data must conform to an edited format or the imager does not transmit the input data to the host device.

Alternate Data Formats
Alternate formats allow you “single shot” capability to scan one bar code using a different data format than your primary format. When data formats are
programmed, you must input whether you are programming the primary format, or an alternate format numbered 1, 2, or 3. An alternate format is initiated
by scanning one of the 3 alternate format bar codes below. The imager will scan the next bar code, formatting the data with the selected alternate format,
then revert immediately to the primary format.
