Power connector
Using external power to the STA100 is optional. When 12 VDC is not supplied to the unit, it
operates using the internal battery of either the ZFR100 or TRX900.
If the 12-volt input is connected to a power source, it powers the ZFR100 or TRX900 when they
are turned off.
If batteries are installed in the ZFR100 or TRX900 and external power is connected, the unit will
not be able to shut off unless an external power switch is available to remove the external power
connection.
Audio Output Connector
The audio output connection has multiple uses. It is used to monitor the audio functions of its host
unit. The audio or time code output depends on the operation mode of the host unit.
Time Code Input Connector
The time code input is used to jam the time code generator of the host unit. If the host unit has an
auto-load function the time code input of the stereo adaptor can be used.
Operation
For the stereo adaptor to operate the host unit must select the stereo mode of operation. and the unit
must have external ADC selected. For details on enabling ADC, see the manual of the host unit.
Selecting the stereo mode sets the host unit to its stereo mode of operation. The ADC selection
selects the internal mic input if selected to internal or the stereo adaptor audio if selected to external
mode.
Hint:
The Stereo adaptor can be used to power the host unit while the host is in mono mode and its mic
level input is in use.
