Step 4

Press and hold the LEARN CODE button for two seconds
or until the green STATUS light stops blinking and the
red CHARGING light is on.

Step 5

Press and hold the transmitter button until the green
STATUS light resumes blinking.

Step 6

Replace the battery access cover on the transmitter.

Step 7

Verify the transmitter is operational by pressing the
transmitter button. If the gate moves, the setting is
correct.

If the gate does not move, repeat the process starting
with Step 4.

Step 8

Replace the control box cover.

NOTE:

The control box circuit board can learn and hold

up to 10 different codes. To clear all codes, press and hold
the LEARN button for 10 seconds or until both lights are
off.

Setting The Gate’s Closed Limit
Position

Next you must set the gate opener’s CLOSED limit set-
ting (limit setting: the desired stopping point for your
gate). This will vary depending on if you are using a
pull-to-open (standard set up) or push-to-open (alterna-
tive set up, see

page 22

) arrangement for your opener.

NOTE:

Ensure the battery is fully charged before setting

the limit settings (see Charging the Battery on page
29).

Pull-to-Open Closed Limit Setting

Step 1

Turn the power ON to energize the system.

Step 2

Make sure both gates are in the open position. Press the
transmitter button and Gate Opener 2 will begin to
close first, followed by Gate Opener 1. Press the trans-
mitter button again to stop the gates when the desired
limit has been reached by Gate Opener 2.

Step 3

Set Dual Mode DIP switch #4 of the Dual Mode Settings
to the ON position then press and hold the SET LIMIT

button for two seconds (

fig. 44

). You will hear a single

BEEP from the alarm buzzer and the STATUS light will
turn on momentarily, then turn off.

Step 4

Press the transmitter button and the gates should move
to the fully open position. The closed position is now
set for Gate Opener 2.

Step 5

Now press the transmitter button again. Your gates
should begin to close. Gate Opener 2 should stop at
the closed limit position you programmed in the previ-
ous steps. The other gate will continue to close until
you press the transmitter button again. Gate 1 should
close firmly up to Gate 2 without excessive pressure
against the gate.

Step 6

Set Dual Mode DIP switch #4 to the OFF position and
then press and hold the SET LIMIT button for two sec-
onds. You should hear a single BEEP from the alarm
buzzer and the STATUS light will turn on momentarily,
then turn off.

Step 7

Using the handheld transmitter, return the gates to fully
open position. Both gates’ closed position stops are
now set.

Step 8

Again, using the handheld transmitter close the gates to
verify they meet the desired location. Note: If the gates
did NOT reach the desired limit proceed to

Step 9

.

Step 9

Clearing the closed limit setting for Opener 1:

a) Return the gate to the fully open position.

b) Set Dual Mode DIP switch 4 to the OFF position.

c) Press and hold the SET LIMIT button for five sec-

onds. When you hear a double BEEP from the
alarm buzzer and the green STATUS light comes
on, the closed limit setting has been reset to facto-
ry defaults.
