Switch and indicator set
The following components can be found in the top:
A.
Red control light
It gives light depending on the inside temperature of
the freezing compartment.
It gives light for a short time
When putting it into use for the first time
When placing fresh food into it
It gives light for a long time
When it is too warm in the freezing compart-
ment (by placing too much fresh food in at the
same time, or by leaving the door open for too
long, or if it does not close properly)
When the freezing compartment has broken
down.
B.
Fast-freezing push button
When it is pushed, the compressor of the freezing
compartment operates permanently and the yellow
control lamp gives light continuously. Read chapter
„Freezing”.
C.
Yellow control light
It gives light when the rapid-freezing button is
pushed. Read chapter „Freezing”.
D.
Thermostat knob of the freezing compartment
It is for setting the temperature in the freezing com-
partment.
E.
Thermostat knob of the fresh food compart-
ment
It is for setting the temperature in the fresh food
compartment.
Controlling the temperature, setting
The thermostats interrupt the operation of the appliances
automatically for more or less time depending on the set-
ting then restarts them assuring the required tempera-
ture.
Refrigerator
Several cooling stages can be chosen between minimum
and maximum.
If a medium position is chosen (between minimum and
maximum), the temperature in the refrigerator will, among
normal conditions, be around 0 and +5 °C. The closer it
is set to maximum position the more intensive the refrig-
erating will be.
Freezer
Temperature below -18 °C can be attained in the freezer
when selecting a medium position, which will ensure the
permanent preservation of food products.
The temperature coming about in the appliance is effect-
ed by not only the position of the thermostat but the ambi-
ent temperature, frequency of door openings and the
quantity of food put into it newly, etc.
In the maximum position - in case of
increased demand e.g. during heatwaves - the
compressors may operate continually. This does not
cause damages to the appliance.
How to use the refrigerator
For adequate cooling developing interior air circu-
lation is necessary. For this reason you are asked
not to cover the air circulation gaps behind the shelves
(e.g. with tray etc.).
Do not put hot food into the refrigerator. Allow
it to reach room temperature naturally. In this
way the unnecessary frost building up can be avoid-
ed.
Foods can take over odours from each other.
So it is essential to put foods in closed dishes
or wrap them in cellophane, aluminium foil, grease-
proof paper or cling film before placing them into
the refrigerator. This way foods will keep their mois-
ture e.g. vegetables will not dry out after some days.
EN
Handling the appliance
Putting it into use
Put the plug into the mains socket.
Refrigerator:
To start the refrigerating turn the termostat knob ("E")
clockwise. In its "0" position the refrigerator is off, but it
is under the mains voltage.
Freezer:
To start the refrigerating turn the thermostat knob ("D")
clockwise. The red control lamp gives light, then it disap-
pears as written in chapter "Red control light of the
Switch and indicator set". In its "0" position the freezer is
off, but it is under the mains voltage.
