Diesel Engine

4.6 Transmission

(a)

Disconnect units from electrical supplies (battery and main).

(b)

Open unit top cover

(c)

Remove rocker cover assembly unscrewing 9
bolts.

(d)

Disconnect glow plugs from wire.

(e)

Clean with a paper towel engine face area where
rocker cover gasket sits.

(f)

Unscrew glow plugs.

(g)

Replace glow plugs.

CAUTION

3RMD453 requires to be shortened to

fit 3CA1 engine.

CAUTION

Tightening torque: 14.7 to 19.6[N m]

(130 to 173[lb −in]).

(h)

Connect glow plugs to wire.

(i)

Install rocker cover tightening bolts in a
diametrically opposite sequence.

CAUTION

Tightening torque: 9.8 to 11.8[Nm]

(87 to 104[lb − in]).
