Changing the Bitrate Dynamically 

 

The Z3Cam-4K-RPS supports dynamically changing the bitrate without stopping and restarting the encoder. 

 

Verify the unit is currently encoding and streaming to the VLC media player.

In VLC, click on “Tools” and select “Codec Information.”  

(2)

 

Select the “Statistics” tab.  In this tab, you can see the current video + audio bitrate.

Changing the bitrate is supported through serial control. Return to your serial terminal.

Enter “5” and press “enter” to select the Bitrate option.

Change the bitrate from “4M” to “2M” and press “enter.”
